Our son, Nathanael Micaiah Herlihy, was born on June 5, 2009. He was 9 lb 6 oz...22 inches long....born at 4:31 pm. He had a short stay in the NICU due to an increased respiratory rate, but only had to take a 7 day round of antibiotics to help clear up the problem. He is doing very well now....and Megan and I thank our great God for the gift He has given us. Parenting has posed its set of challenges, but in the grand scheme of things, they are nothing compared to the joy and blessings of being parents. Megan and I hope to have 25 more children....just kidding....maybe....gotta beat them Duggars.
His name has a special meaning to us. His first name, Nathanael, means "given of God." His middle name, Micaiah, means "Who is like the Lord?" There is truly no one like God, no one. He has given us such a precious blessing. After knowing some people who are unable to have children, or after seeing the condition of some of those children in the NICU, we know that we do not have a single thing to complain about. We are blessed, bottom line.
