Easter Pageant AllStar

Okay, so I finally got the Easter Pageant pictures downloaded on to my computer. Before I get carried away with details, I would like to say that I believe God really worked through the Pageant this year. It was very powerful and meaningful and definitely blessed my heart and the hearts of several of our family members. Yesterday in church, Easter Sunday, we watched this video clip that talked about Jesus' death and the hopelessness and despair experienced by followers of Christ on Friday of the crucifixion. Every detailed that was expressed in the video was followed by "This is Friday, but Sunday's coming." What a beautiful truth that Christ has won the victory. And in our lives, we may often feel more like we are living on Friday, but remember that as we put our hope, trust, and obedience in the Lord, we can believe and know that Sunday is coming:o)

Basically, the Pageant consisted of actors portraying the Easter story, and a choir, costumed as town people, who sang songs and reacted to whatever was going on onstage. I was a town person, and Jason was a very manly Roman Soldier. He had two lines: "Jesus of Nazareth" and "Jesus" and delivered them with great skill and accuracy. He had to whip Jesus, help stand the cross and cast lots for Jesus' clothing. He also helped lower Jesus from the cross, and guarded the tomb. He did such a great job. Here are a couple of pictures that we took. I don't have any action photos, unfortunately.

Doesn't my hubby have a mean-looking Roman Soldier face!! ARRRRRRR!!!!

And here is the full body view. Seriously, we had a fun time doing the Pageant and I was so delighted to do something like this with Jason. He is such a star:o) Oh, I forgot to say that I also definitely carried a basket that we received as a wedding gift as my prop. But the exciting part it is what I carried in the basket: two of the bridesmaid bouquets:o) I received several compliments on the flowers and it made me happy:o)

Although this is a bit out of order, I figured I would post pictures from our little beach adventure the other day. Jason, my brother Michael, and I went out to the beach for the guys to fish and for me to read the first book in the Mitford Series (everyone should read these books.) Anyway...we had a wonderful time, but it was veeeeerrrrry windy and cold. After sitting down on a sheet, everything around me was covered in sand in about 0.2 seconds. I had on windbreaker pants, a shirt and a jacket and was warm most of the time. The guys I think were a bit chilly, and unfortunately didn't catch anything. Here is a pic:

You can sort of tell how windy it was. Anyway, I have another fish story coming soon:o) Have a great day everyone!
