Our Orlando Experience

So...this past weekend, Jason and I went to Orlando for a vacation! We had a marvelous, relaxing, and fun time. Our weekend adventure was very well timed and was a blessing to both of us. We arrived in Orlando on Friday evening to a place called the Hilton Grand Vacations Club, which was pretty amazing. It was very similar to the place we stayed for Emily's wedding weekend. We basically just chilled in the room and hung out. On Saturday, we slept in and then had to report at noon for the Time Share spiel which made this trip possible:o)

I had been pretty anxious about this little meeting because I had heard that they can be very pushy and rude, and refuse to take "no" for an answer. Well, kudos to the HGVC because they were not pushy or rude at all! We listened to the whole thing, which was actually a fairly exciting prospect, but still decided that it would not be the best decision for us right now. When we communicated this to the representative, he said, "Okay, it was very nice to meet you." And that was all!! Praise the Lord! Why do I worry about anything?...

Okay, so after that, we went and laid by the pool, swam, went in the hot tub, read, and soaked up the sun. It was a beautiful day! And so relaxing...Then we got cleaned up and went shopping for a little while. This is a picture of us at Bass Pro Shops in Orlando...one of Jason's favorite stores!
So we spent some time shopping, and then met up with our great friends Nicole and Brian at the Cheesecake factory. We were able to see their new house and cute new puppy, although I didn't get pictures of either of those things...what a dweeb....but we do have a cute picture from dinner...
When we left Nikie and Brian's house, we decided to time our journey back to the hotel, because it was a little bit of hike. We left their house at 11:06pm and thought that it should take 1 hour and 15 minutes to get back to the hotel (maybe not at that time of night, but by adding up all the legs of the journey). Anyway....we rolled into our hotel at about 1am, due to a very bad accident on I-4 that left us crawling along in traffic. So, we did MadLibs in the car which was fun.

Sunday morning we slept in and then went to Sea World! It was so fun! It is a very relaxing day, because most of the things to do are look at animals or animal shows. We had such a great time. Our favorite show was the dolphin show, which also incorporated birds, high divers, and trapeze artists! It was so fun.
You can sort of see some of the details in this picture. Three of the dolphins are swimming on their backs and some of the other performers are standing on the platform. Seriously, I highly recommend everyone going to Sea World sometime soon. And if you go, we would love to go with you:o) This also happens to be the show where a very cute four year old girl fell in love with Jason. I wish I had a picture of her. Throughout the time before the show and into about the first five-ten minutes of it, she kept turning around and smiling at Jason. As soon as he noticed her and smiled back, she would giggle and bury her head in her mom. This also occurred as soon as the show ended. It was sooo cute:o) My husband is a hottie!
Here is a pic of us at the Sea Lion show:
That pretty much concludes our Orlando adventure. We went back to the hotel, relaxed, and fell asleep watching Ocean's 11. Then we went home on Monday and were able to spend some time relaxing at home too. What a blessing! If you guys get a phone call from Hilton asking you to take advantage of this kind of offer....do it:o)
