Baking Bread and Baby Genius

So, my sister-in-law, Christina, is a master bread maker. She has given me her recipe and a few tips! I have made bread three times (1. with my brother Matthew (while feeling entirely clueless) 2. last week 3. this week). Each time one loaf turned out much better looking than the other. I remain unconvinced that I will ever create two, nice looking loaves. We have the lovely, scrumptious-looking loaf,

and then we have the dense, doughy, dud. (which appears to have some sort of growth)

Gratefully, the dud tastes okay.

On to baby genuis...Nate has begun reading.

He has a very short attention span.

And last but not least...our sweet boy tried sweet potatoes today. I think we have a winner:o)

He is so sweet! I love that you're making bread. Do you use a bread maker or do you do it in the oven? I have a bread maker that we got as a wedding gift and I've never used it! I so want to. I need to get on that soon.
